Practice for the 2023/2024 season begins Sunday, September 17th for Group 4, and Monday, September 18th for Groups 1, 2, and 3 at the Ukrainian Cultural Center.

Completed registration and payments are due on October 2nd & 3rd, 2022.

MISSION

The purpose of the Ukrainian Arts Foundation of Greater Rochester shall be to foster knowledge, love and understanding of Ukrainian custom and culture through the arts and to provide an enriched learning environment where all members can express their knowledge, ability, and talent in the performance and expression of the Ukrainian Arts.

CULTURE

The UAFGR concentrates on Ukrainian Folk Dancing for the purpose of preserving Art, Culture, and History as well as sponsoring cultural events for the Rochester community. Cultural events have included Art Exhibits, Folk Dance Concerts, Independent Film Screenings, & other Educational Activities for Ukrainian Youth.

FOLK DANCING

The Ukrainian Arts Foundation has based its organization on its Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensembles (Svitanok, Dunay, and Veselka), one for each age group. Combined, the three dance ensembles consist of 75+ Children ranging from the ages four to twenty-one. Each year the UAFGR Dance Ensembles Perform at various events in Western New York.
